Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba or 2Face, has addressed the rising tensions surrounding his marriage to Natasha, accusing certain family members of worsening the situation while claiming they are trying to “save” him.

The issue, which has dominated social media discussions in recent days, reportedly began in the United Kingdom after Natasha was allegedly heard shouting during a heated disagreement with the singer. The confrontation reportedly drew the attention of UK authorities, resulting in 2Baba’s brief arrest.

The situation intensified during a recent Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, where 2Baba and Natasha exchanged words openly on camera, alarming viewers with the emotional intensity of the encounter. Clips from the broadcast quickly went viral, sparking widespread speculation about deeper challenges within the marriage and raising concerns among fans about 2Baba’s emotional and mental well-being.

Further fueling the controversy was a message shared by the singer’s brother, Hyacinth Idibia, which many interpreted as a sign that the family had become actively involved and increasingly worried about the unfolding situation.

Breaking his silence, 2Baba took to social media to reject claims that he needed rescuing, stating that the actions of some family members were instead causing harm.

He emphasized that he is a grown man with the right to choose who he wants to be with, adding that the family’s attempt to “save” him has, in his view, only damaged his life and unfairly harmed Natasha’s reputation—revealing that she has even received death threats.

Acknowledging that marital disagreements are normal, 2Baba insisted that the situation has gone too far and stressed that he is fine emotionally and professionally, citing his recent performance in Abuja as evidence that he remains active and stable.

His remarks have ignited fresh debates online, with fans divided between those urging his family to step back and others calling for intervention to ensure the welfare of everyone involved.
