As hostages of the Oyo kidnap gang continue to remain in captivity, with its accompanying nightmare and pain, Super Falcons ace; Asisat Oshoala has joined the global campaign for increased Government action and their release.

Oshoala joined the campaign after scoring for her team a penalty and celebrating the goal, she unveiled an inscription on her wrist tape sending a message:
“Save the teachers. Bring back our children!”
The six time CAF Africa Women Footballer of the Year, deplores her imposing image to add more force to the push demanding increased Government action and release of the captives in her message.
Oshoala is drawing more attention to the recent school abduction in Oyo State, where pupils and teachers were forcefully taken by armed attackers.

In a moment that transcended football, She used her platform to amplify the voices of affected families and remind the nation that some issues are bigger than the game.
The Super Falcons on Friday, 5 June, 2026 defeated Senegal 2-1 in a WAFCON 2026 warm-up match played in Ikenne, Ogun State.
As the team celebrated, the Super Falcon veteran reminded that innocent children and teachers were still in the captivity of dare-devil kidnappers; and something must urgently be done to set them free.
