Mrs. Eugenia Abdallah has felicitated Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo on his conferment of the award; Governor of the Year (Education) by the New Telegraph newspaper.

Mrs. Eugenia Abdallah is the State commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.
The felicitation message carried in a statement by the director, media in the ministry, Daisy Osunde and made available to journalists in Benin, described the award as a well deserved honour.
Also; a testament to the Governor’s unwavering commitment to repositioning the education sector, and strengthening human capital development in Nigeria.
According to the Commissioner, Governor Okpebholo’s strategic investments in educational infrastructure, teachers’ development, and inclusive learning policies have continued to distinguish Edo State as a shining example of purposeful leadership and progressive governance.

“This prestigious recognition affirms His Excellency’s visionary leadership and bold reforms in the education sector.
“It is a proud achievement for the Government and people of Edo State. The Governor’s dedication to expanding access to quality education particularly for girls, women, and vulnerable children reflects his deep commitment to sustainable growth and social transformation.”
She further emphasized that the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development remains fully aligned with the Governor’s development agenda, especially in promoting the girl-child education, women empowerment, and social protection initiatives across the State.
Mrs. Abdallah noted that the award serves as encouragement for the administration to sustain its transformative policies aimed at securing a brighter future for Edo children, and strengthening the socio-economic foundation of the State.
The Ministry joined other stakeholders, partners, and well-meaning citizens in celebrating the Governor on the milestone achievement, and wished him continued success in his service to Edo State and the nation at large, Mrs. Abdallah was quoted to have said.
