Also, in the State Chairman of the Party, Emperor Jarret Tenebe; and the State Secretary, Engr. Lawrence Okah.
This follows their steadfast leadership, dedication, and remarkable efforts in repositioning the Party, and advancing the progress of Edo State.
The reaffirmation of confidence in the trio was made in a resolution of the State Working Committee meeting on Thursday, 30 October, 2025 in Benin-City, the State Capital.
The State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Prince Peter Uwadiae Enosoregbe Igbinigie made this known in a press release circulated amongst journalists on Thursday.
Uwadiae said the SWC deliberated extensively on various issues affecting the smooth running and cohesion of the Party across the State.
Amongst which was the lifting of the suspension slammed on some of its members, it was said.
After due consideration and review of reports presented before it, the suspension slammed on Valentine Asue, and Mrs. Stella Ogbetta, the woman leader of Oredo Ward 10 was lifted with immediate effect.
“The Committee enjoins them to resume their party activities and continue to contribute positively to the growth and unity of the APC in their respective jurisdictions.”
But the SWC resolved to place the suspension of Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia, former Party Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Area under review.
It consequently resolved and directed the current Party Chairman of Etsako West LGA to furnish it with a comprehensive report on his relationship with the Party in the locality.
“This is to guide the Committee in determining the next line of action regarding the possible lifting or otherwise of his suspension.
“The Committee also urged that due consideration be given to his conduct since the period of his suspension.”
Meanwhile, the SWC stated that the suspension of Mallam Adamu Ototobor, Ward 9 Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, remains in force until further notice.
“The Committee advises all members to remain law-abiding and committed to the principles and discipline of the Party pending further directives.
“The State Working Committee reaffirms its commitment to fairness, internal democracy, and the overall stability of the Party across all levels in Edo State.”
As it further calls on all members to continue to work collectively towards strengthening the APC as a united political family.
