As news of the passing of the pioneer State Chairman of the opposition; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Solomon Aguele spreads to town on Monday, 18 August, 2025, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State Chapter, joined numerous Nigerians and family members in mourning the sage and elite politician.
The Party in its condolence message signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Prince Peter Uwadiae and availed journalists in Benin on Tuesday; says the news of his departure was received with deep shock describing him as a distinguished son of Edo State.

Further, the APC noted that Dr. Aguele’s contributions to the political landscape and his dedication to the service of the State will always be remembered.
“His passing is not only a great loss to his immediate family and the PDP but also to Edo State and Nigeria at large.
“On behalf of the leadership, members, and entire family of the APC in Edo State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Aguele family and the PDP.
“We pray that God grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and that the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace.
“Please accept the assurances of our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.”
