Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh revealed that she started smoking at just 13 years old and battled the addiction for 27 years.
The actress made the revelation during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, where she spoke candidly about her battles with alcoholism, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues.
Dikeh described these struggles as “demonic oppression,” attributing her freedom from them to divine intervention. She said noticeable changes began when her spiritual life improved.
“I started smoking at 13. God also delivered me from masturbation. From childhood, I experienced sexual encounters in my dreams,” she shared.
She explained that her smoking habit was influenced by her father, who was also a smoker, and advised parents to be mindful of exposing children to harmful behaviors.
The 40-year-old actress added that God recently healed her from what she called “demonic anger,” which had negatively impacted her relationships and personal life.
Following her testimony, Streams of Joy founder, Pastor Jerry Eze, prayed for her, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and referring to her as “a voice of her generation.”
